I will always remember Uncle Peter for his sense of humour and for always being such a good sport. He could always laugh at himself and I have some brilliant memories of belly laughing over another train video or spreadsheet statistic! He was always very kind to me and whilst a quiet man, always took a genuine interest in how I was, what I was up to and I'll miss chatting to him over the big issues and the not so big issues. I never had the chance to thank Uncle Peter for feeding me and taking me in every summer holiday for a good few years. I'm pretty sure me and my brothers caused absolute chaos! For having his VHS collection and TV taken over every night whilst we were there too! They are some of my happiest childhood memories spent in Ipswich and I'm pretty sure I never told him that. But most of all, I never had the chance to thank him for giving up his day to day normality many years ago, in order that my life could have some sense of normal again. As a child I had no idea of the sacrifices he was making but as a wife and a parent now myself, I can only imagine how hard that was. So thank you Uncle Peter. I'm sorry I didn't get to say it to you in person, although I think you'd probably have told me to bugger off and stop being soft! But thank you all the same. We'll miss you xx
