I'd like to echo Dina's comments as she seems to have said much of what I would have, missing perhaps just a thank you for all the good times playing various sports in his garden with him, and a well overdue sincere apology for all the times we rattled his greenhouse with various balls in that connection. Don't think I was ever personally responsible for shattering any glass panes but was certainly there at times when it happened. Still recall how we'd all instantly stop and look nervously down the garden to the house, waiting anxiously for him to emerge having heard the noise. But despite how frustrating it must have been for him he seemed to take it like a trooper without really coming down hard on us or letting it ruin the day for everyone, and that I think is very impressive and commendable. I hope I would be able to show his level of restraint in similar situations. Sport was a big part of his life and something many of us shared and enjoyed together with him. A Leicester fan across many sports, and who would have thought he'd live to see the day they'd win the football Premier league. Amazingly and against all odds he had that experience a few years back and if anyone I know deserved that long awaited joy it would be him. Besides sport he also enjoyed British TV comedies and introduced us kids to several of the classics via his VHS collection, which have given us a host of expressions and quotes that we've used and laughed over on countless occasions. But he's personally responsible for probably the funniest family memory of all time, when he threw out the beer can that was part of the ornament at the holiday home in Devon. That will never be forgotten. So thank you for the memories uncle. We'll be sure to keep enjoying them for years to come, and in that way your memory will also live on. RIP, Simon
